Every Parent Should Know
Naturally, all parents want the very best for their children, especially when it comes to selecting a quality fine arts program and a teacher. What parents may not realize is that while private lessons are the cornerstone of the musical experience, private lessons alone do not provide a comprehensive musical education.
Nevada School of the Arts offers more than outstanding private teaching; it offers supplementary training necessary for the shaping of the complete musician. We encourage all students to be actively involved in the many opportunities available such as; workshops, repertoire classes, chamber music, theory programs, piano classes for non-piano majors, beginning piano students and participation in end-of-semester recitals. Students also attend faculty recitals and special programs. Above all, positive parental involvement and encouragement of student’s artistic progress and achievements both in music and the visual arts classes enhance and strengthen the learning process.
