    Abraham Gumroyan, bass

    Double Bassist Abe Gumroyan is currently a member of the Oakland East Bay Symphony and a frequent guest with the San Francisco Symphony & San Diego Symphony.  Abe also maintains an active freelance workload in the pop and Latin music industry performing with icons Carlos Santana, Alicia Keys, & Justin Timberlake among others.  In 2014 Abe received a Grammy award for his work with the Pacific Mambo Orchestra on their freshman studio release.  Abe divides his time between San Francisco, CA and his native home of Las Vegas, NV where he is on faculty at the Nevada School of The Arts and bassist for internationally acclaimed jazz singer Clint Holmes’ band.  Abe is a graduate of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music with a Master of Music Performance and Artist Diplomas in classical bass and an undergraduate degree in jazz studies from University of Nevada, Las Vegas. His primary teachers were Scott Pingel & Stephen Tramontozzi of the San Francisco Symphony and David Allen Moore of the Los Angeles Philharmonic.
