Collaborative Piano Faculty

Barbara Riske, Pianist, NCTM, enjoys a busy musical career as a music faculty teacher at the University of Nevada Las Vegas for 18 years, and collaborative pianist and teacher at Nevada School of the Arts from 1996-present. She served as principal keyboard player with the Las Vegas Philharmonic and the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestras, and has toured as solo pianist for ballet companies performing with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet and American Ballet Theatre in more than 20 countries. In 1992, she was awarded a gold medal as Best Pianist at the International Ballet competition in Helsinki, Finland, a prestigious month long competition.Presently, Barbara is (semi)retired, and enjoys her time teaching and spending time with husband, Bill, and malamute dog, Tikaani.

Barbara is a member of LVMTA and MTNA.
