Bill Leary, jazz

Bill attended Indiana University where he studied Jazz with David Baker, Pat Harbinson, and saxophone with the great Eugene Rousseau. After two years he transferred to New Jersey City University to be closer to New York City. He is well versed in classical and jazz as well as proficient in Flute and Clarinet. He toured with Ringling Bros. Circus, Holland America Cruise lines, the 30th Anniversary national tour of Annie. He performed in Singapore for two years with “Voyage de la Vie”, a rock/circus spectacular. He relocated to Las Vegas in 2013 to perform “Vegas Nocturne” at the Cosmopolitan. He is currently playing woodwinds on Steve Wynn’s “Showstoppers”. Recent private studies include extensive work with Brandon Fields, Walt Weiskopf, Rick Margitiza, and Marina Sturm (clarinet). He is the Jazz Saxophone Para-Professional at the Las Vegas Academy for the Performing Arts in CCSD. Bill is a passionate teacher, teaching privately since 2000.
