    Jennifer Hellewell, viola

A native of Arizona, Jennifer Hellewell received her Bachelor of Music degree from Northern Arizona University where she studied with Dr. Jacquelyn Schwandt.  She also completed long term Suzuki teacher training with Dr. Louise Scott, Karin Hallberg, and Susan Baer.  Upon finishing her degree, Jennifer moved to Las Vegas to teach violin and viola at the Nevada School of the Arts.  She is a passionate teacher and her ambition is contagious.  Her students have received college scholarships, participated in and won numerous competitions, and performed in the Suzuki Orchestra of the Americas at the SAA Conference.   As a performer, Jennifer works as a freelance violist throughout the Las Vegas valley and travels across the nation with the all female electric string quartet, Phat Strad.  In addition to teaching and performing, she is also pursuing her Master of Music degree at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.  Jennifer enjoys spending time with her husband, Ammon, and son, Bradley.
