Linda Rodgers, violin

Dr. Rodgers is a professional violinist with a solo, orchestral, and teaching career in both California and Nevada and has been a first violinist with the Henderson Symphony. Dr. Rodgers has been teaching violin privately for over 30 years and has taught all ages and levels, maintaining private in-person and online studios (www.violinqueen.com). She has served as concertmaster of several orchestras, performs yearly for the City of Orange Tree Lighting Ceremony, and has performed at the Crystal Cathedral and for the Pope. She has also served as the Beginning Strings and String Ensemble instructor at Cypress College in Southern California.

Her professional endeavors include holding the position of Director of Education for a music/math research institute, eighteen years of teaching grades 1-6 in the public schools, including seven years in South Central Los Angeles, and six years of teaching elementary school online for a charter academy. She has authored six children’s math storybooks that are currently used internationally, and conducted numerous teacher training seminars throughout the United States (www.kingjoe.com). She is also an online instructor of early childhood education graduate level courses at Ashford University.

 Dr. Rodgers holds a Doctorate of Education in Institutional Management/Educational Leadership and an Early Childhood Specialist Certificate. Further credentials include a Master of Arts in Early Childhood Education and Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies. She is a member of American String Teachers Association (ASTA).
