Scholarships

Limited partial scholarships will be available to students who submit a letter of need for financial assistance and a teacher recommendation. Materials must be received by 4:00 pm May 15, 2020.

Honors Recitals

Honors Recitals will be held during the lunch break. To be chosen to perform, students must have one fully polished piece to perform, indicate their interest on the online registration form, and submit a letter of recommendation from their private teacher. Performers will be chosen and notified no later than a week prior to the start of camp.


Suzuki Camp

Half Day Camp
9:00 am – 11:30 am
$180

Intro to Violin and Cello (no instrument needed) or Violin, Viola, Cello Pre-Twinkle through Allegro. Parents must be present for campers ages 8 and under.

Violin, Viola, Cello Perpetual Motion through Book VI
Sessions will include Orchestra, Technique Class, Repertoire Class and Enrichment Class.

Orchestral Leadership Academy

9:00 am – 2:00 pm
$180

Week long academy for middle and high school students to help improve reading and ensemble skills, left hand and bow technique. Learn how to be a better leader in your section or orchestra and learn how to prepare for Honor and All State Orchestra auditions. Have a great week of meeting new friends through music making.

Violin Intensive

9:00 am – 3:00 pm
$300

For the advanced/intermediate and advanced middle and high school students with at least 4 years of playing experience. A week long journey to becoming a better and more organized violinist with great guest teachers.

  • How to practice
  • Tartini Tones, double stops, and intonation, using Sevcik Op. 9
  • An approach to teaching hand vibrato
  • Shifting – developing a good shifting technique using Sevcik Op. 8
  • No Pain, ALL GAIN: A Healthy Way to Stretch and Play session (how to open up tight muscles before and after playing)
  • How to practice your difficult concerto spots
  • Breathe Your Way to Better Playing session (incorporating breath with phrasing and bow technique)
  • Master Classes
  • Violin Ensemble and developing the art of how to play in a section
  • Repertoire Class and Performance Development

Cello Intensive
